A lovely email recieved from Michael & Jeanette White

www.glyntjonesphotography.co.uk received a lovely email yesterday from Michael & Jeanette White whose wedding I photographed on 16th July 2011, it read.

"We would both like to thank you for the wonderful job that you did with the photographs and also for making our day special, and one we will remember for the rest of our lives.
We hope that you do not mind but we will be telling other friends of what a great job you did and hopefully they will also use your service.
With Kind Regards
Micheal & Jeanette."

I love it when emails or letters of this nature come through to me, as it is shows that I have managed to capture their day & make it just that little bit more special.

Richard & Louise preview book finished

I have had a very busy week so far, editing all the photos from Richard & Louise Lavenders wedding on Friday 5th August, I have just delivered the preview book to the printers to be made, so very soon they will both be able to view all the stunning pictures from their big day. There will probably be quite a few that they don't remember been taken as the whirlwind of the day carried them along, this is what I am quite often told once the photos have been viewed. Once again http://www.glyntjonesphotography.co.uk/ wish to thank them for choosing us to work with them on the special day.

Tomorrow, its the start of working through Daniel & Charlotte's photos from Saturday 6th August, with editing & designing another preview book all in front of me.
On another note the new website should all go live early next week, so all good.

Thanks

New website now just days away!!

Well as I type this I am hoping that this isn't going to jinx the launch of my site yet again! I have seen the preview of the new site for http://www.glyntjonesphotography.co.uk/ & must admit is is superb, just how I asked for it to be designed, it is now just having the final tweaks altered & I am reliably informed that it should be live within a few days. It has definitely been a long time coming, but I am sure the wait will be worth it in the long run.

Once live I will be updating on a regular basis with lots of new photos from our more recent events that we have had the pleasure of covering, from surprise birthday parties, model portfolio shoots & of course the weddings that we have covered. I am sorry it seems so long since I started talking about this new site, but the delays have been in the building process, so sadly beyond my control.

Please check back soon to see the new site, & of course we can be contacted anytime in all the usual ways while the switch over takes place, there should not be any down time during the change over onto the new site.

Thanks for your patience

The weather held for Mr & Mrs Morris

Yesterday http://www.glyntjonesphotography.co.uk/ had the pleasure of working with the lovely couple Daniel & Charlotte on their wedding day at St Augustines Church in Rugeley. We arrived at the brides parents home to get some cheeky shots of her getting ready in her dress, only to find her dad was in fact born in Scotland & so was wearing the family tartan. He looked amazing in the full kilt outfit ready to give his daughter away.

The wedding party travelled to the church in style, in an amazing 32ft stretch hummer limo. The church service went of very well with a lovely vicar who allowed me to take photos throughout the whole service from various positions around the church & overhead balcony, which she unlocked specially for us to use. This allowed me to take some beautiful photos off the service for them to treasure, from unusual angles, not normally allowed in church.

We then all travelled to Rugeley Power Station where the reception was held in their sports & social club. Here we managed to get plenty more images of the couple & families by the lake & fountain, with the rain holding off until about 3 minutes after taking our last photo.

http://www.glyntjonesphotography.co.uk/ would like to thank Daniel & Charlotte for choosing us to work with them on their important day.

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Lavender!

We would like to say congratulations to Richard & Louise Lavender on their wedding day yesterday. Richard & Louise chose http://www.glyntjonesphotography.co.uk/ to be their official photographers on their big day. We arrived at St Lukes Church in Cannock town centre to catch Richard (the groom) with his father & best men before the big arrival of Louise. Richard was quite nervous, but extremely happy.

Louise arrived in style in a brand new Mercedes sporting Aston Villa blue ribbons, looking stunning in her dress. We had time to pose her with her father & bridesmaids before the ceremony & then she entered the church to meet at the alter with Richard.

After the service we used St Lukes gardens for the official photography & then took the couple over to another corner of the gardens to photograph some beautiful poses of the lovely couple.

The party then headed on to The Barns in Huntington for a casino themed reception. In keeping with the grooms passion the wedding cake had an Aston Villa theme. After the casino theme closed the couple took to the dance floor for their first dance as husband & wife.

We would like to again thank them for choosing http://www.glyntjonesphotography.co.uk/ to capture their special day for them.

Saturday 30 July 2011

Congratulations Marc & Clare!

http://www.glyntjonesphotography.co.uk/ wish to congratulate Marc & Clare on their lovely marriage today. The whole day ran smoothly from the very start. The ceremony was held at St Paul's Church Wednesbury & the formal photos were captured in the church grounds, before we all moved on to their reception venue at Walsall Rugby Club where we captured some more shots in a more informal atmosphere to capture the happiness they share in a more relaxed way.

We would like to say thank you to Marc & Clare for choosing us to work with them on their important day, & wish them a lovely honeymoon in the sun.

Shaken, not stired!

So tonight is the big night, http://www.glyntjonesphotography.co.uk/ is off the the biggest party in town, Bond, James Bond style. Tash & Lee have invited us to their joint 40th birthday bash at The Barns to set up our mobile studio capturing the night of the James Bond themed party. All the men are to be dressed in tuxedo's & the ladies dressed to impress in evening dresses while chancing their hands on the casino tables, I may even get chance to test my own luck out!

Then tomorrow http://www.glyntjonesphotography.co.uk/ are photographing the wedding for Mr & Mrs White, yes that is their names even before they tie the knot! I have got everything crossed for the weather to be kind to them, although the reports are not looking too favourable at the moment, hey what do the Met Office know anyway? After the ceremony at Lichfield Registry Office we all head of to Amstel Ridware to the Shoulder Of Mutton for the reception, where fingers crossed the barbecue takes place & we capture lots more happy memories for the happy couple!

We would like to thank all mentioned for choosing us to work with them, to freeze the good times enjoyed for everlasting memories! Photos of both occasions will in time be on the website for viewing in due course, if my new website ever arrives, but that's another story!

The Lovely Louise

Hi strangers

Here is my first blog post for a while, the whole wedding season has exploded onto us & we have found ourselves very busy, hence the delay in my blogging!

Today I had the pleasure of working with the stunning new model, that is Louise Knight, she travelled over to the http://www.glyntjonesphotography.co.uk/ studio to get some shots for her portfolio. The whole shoot went very well with Louise bringing a wide selection of outfits ranging from formal office suits, to some of her lingerie, & lots of summery outfits in between. Louise was very professional & so easy to work with that the whole event went along with out a hitch. Here is hoping that she enjoyed the shoot also.

Here are just a couple of shots from today, I will be adding many more as they have been edited through my work flow onto my website.

On the subjects of websites, I have been informed that I will receive the preview tomorrow, so all being well with that, it should be going live very shortly, keep checking http://www.glyntjonesphotography.co.uk/ to see more information & eventually the new site.

I hope you have enjoyed reading this & the attached pictures.

Bye for now.

Stealth party success

As stated in a previous blog, http://www.glyntjonesphotography.co.uk/ was hired to attend & capture a surprise 60th birthday party in Halesowen, West Midlands. This party took place on Saturday night & was a roaring success, the birthday girl had no idea what was in store for her & was genuinely taken a back with the surprise, & of meeting long lost friends/family. I captured all the moments of her roller coaster ride of emotions throughout the evening, including a chat with her son live over the web from his home in LA. I now am working through the photos from the night to provide Sue with a photo book containing the nights captures & emotions for her to treasure & keep from her special night.

http://www.glyntjonesphotography.co.uk/ wishes to thank Sharon, Sue & all of the family for letting us be part of this event, & their hospitality, it was a pleasure to work with you.

The name's Bond, James Bond

I am quite excited by my latest party booking,  http://www.glyntjonesphotography.co.uk/ has been commissioned to set up a mobile studio in a board room of a party venue for a joint 40th birthday party, the theme of the party is James Bond, all the men will be dressed smartly in a tuxedo, & all the ladies will be dressed to impress in flowing ball gowns. The guests will be able to come & go from the function room into the studio area for their pictures to be taken. I am expecting many glamorous photos as well as lots of fun & games! Lets hope by the end of the night I am shaken, but not stirred!

Calm before the storm

Good evening.

Well the last week has been pretty quiet due to the bank holiday & school holidays, this has meant I have had a bit of time to chill out & recharge my batteries ready for the very busy months of June, July & August. I have spent most of this weekend kayaking as I thoroughly enjoy time spent on the water savouring the peace & tranquility.

So now all refreshed & chomping at the bit again to get stuck into the very busy few months, into the thick of the wedding season 2011, I am looking forward to having the pleasure of working with the many couples I have met over the year or two to create memories for them to treasure of the biggest day of their lives. Samples from all the recent & forthcoming weddings will, of course be shared on my website at http://www.glyntjonesphotography.co.uk/  in due course once my new website is up & running. I have not uploaded any of my recent work to my current website as it is all at the web designer to be built into the new design, there is however, still all contact information & samples of my work at the above address for you to view.

Any other enquiries you may have for any type of photographic work, then please do not hesitate to contact me, either from the contact page at http://www.glyntjonesphotography.co.uk/ or by direct e mail at
glyntjonesphoto@aol.co.uk

I will keep you all updated on the launch date for the new site, & there will be a competition once it is launched to win yourselves a free portrait photo shoot.

Bye for now

What a week!

Well where do I start, what a week http://www.glyntjonesphotography.co.uk/ has had since my blog last Saturday!

We have numerous calls for wedding photography, mainly for this year, but many for next year also, it seems that there is a strong desire to tie the knot in the same year as the royal wedding with many people arranging the ceremony at shorter than usual notice. I do wonder if this has something to do with the current economy also though as people are more unsure about job security than in recent years. I personally quite like the idea of arranging a wedding with short notice, it is surprising how quickly things can all be sorted & put into place & to a number of couples this all adds up to the excitement of the day, I think of it as the excitement felt for arranging the wedding continues into the big day. Many couples enjoy the buzz from arranging the special day, & then find a dip as they wait for it to come around once everything is sorted.

I also have a booking for a surprise birthday party that I have been commissioned to capture for the unsuspecting person in question, I can't say anymore on this at the moment as I don't want anyone surprises spoiling by anyone reading this blog. All I can say is watch this space, & the Glyn T Jones Photography website for details & photographs after the event.

While we are on the subject of websites, my new custom built site is coming along nicely, & is still in the exciting times of been built, I am looking forward to launching it once it is ready to go live & am working on some very special offers/competitions for a free sitting for some lucky people, watch http://www.glyntjonesphotography.co.uk/ & here for more details as they happen.

Regards

Glyn

Some More from Our recent work portfolio.

Good Afternoon all, I thought it was about time I added some more photos from the http://www.glyntjonesphotography.co.uk/ recent work portfolio to showcase a small section of what I have been up to lately.

These are from a shoot that I did with a local model a short while ago, the model was Leanne, she wanted to update her modelling portfolio & wanted http://www.glyntjonesphotography.co.uk/ to do some of the shooting work for her. We both discussed our ideas & it was decided that we wanted to capture an old style calender, the sort that used to hang in every factory/garage. Leanne was a pleasure to work with, very professional throughout, please remember that all these images have been reduced in quality & size for better web viewing.

http://www.glyntjonesphotography.co.uk/ specialises in wedding & portrait photography, but as this blog shows we are happy to undertake any photographic work, if there is anything that we can do for you, then please do not hesitate to contact us.

Please Remember that all images on this site have had the size & quality reduced for web viewing.

I will be back in a day or so to add some more recent work for you all to view.

Well would you believe it, I have just had yet another enquiry for a wedding for the 30th of July this year, unfortunately I am booked already this date & this would of been the 3rd time I could of booked it in as many weeks! No need to worry though as I still have some dates left available for this year, it seems that Friday weddings are becoming more & more popular, perhaps Friday is the new Saturday.

Welcome to my new blog site

Hi all & welcome to my first blog post on this format, I will be moving all my blogs from my website to here in the very near future.
